#The Pack - Happy threesome

Ganging up against Mama Chipi ;)

#Hungary - Dinner

We planned to do a camping weekend and a little party at "our" fishing lake. I made pasta salad and some other stuff, they were going to do some good food, called Pacal here in Hungary and menudo in mexico. It is some sort of gulash, made of cow stomach. Doesn't sound very great, but cooked right, it's awesome :)!

Some spices

#Handmade - Hook case

I finally made my a hook case :-)
Just for my favorite hooks and notions so they are not scattered on my bedside table and I spend less time searching ;-)
Can you believe some of those Boyds cost as little as 29 cents?!

#Handmade - Face scrub pad

Finished pad after 36st of hdc, it's big enough at ~2"
Total pad size ~3"

I'm not good at math, but did 2 patches now and come to 18 st in round 3, not 24.
It might be me, not having enough coffee though ;-)

I just increased in my next / last row in almost every stitch and came to 36 and called it a day.

Works as well :-)

I also switched to a chain 2, instead of ch1 at the beginning of each round.

I didn't break the yarn after finishing the second patch.
Instead I put together the two patches on the wrong side, chain 1 and slip st together the two adjoining inner loops of each last stitch (see photo).

Leave enough of an opening for two fingers & finish off :-)

#Histamine journey, Back to basics

After having had the glorious idea of sipping beer from hubby last week, three days in a row, without DAO support, I'm paying the price since Saturday.
My itchy friend is back, arms and legs. But it's only little itchy pimples, not the open sores from before.
Means, I didn't do a complete overload this time.

Time to feed myself the basics again, mainly veggies that are low Histamine and oats for the morning, some Ricotta and Blueberries in the afternoon.

Yes, you can call me idiot, but I DID enjoy the beer ;-)

#Gardening

An update on the tiny garden :-)

The tiny plants are seedlings, planted on or after the 16th of March:
Spinach, Radish, Salad, two tiny tomatoe and Cilantro plants, the Dill wants to come butisn't sure and to the left two Texas Bluebonnets are popping through.

The salad in the back is still from the ones that survived my neglect in Dec/Jan

I also succumbed and got onion plants, instead of trying to go by seed.
Already harvested some of the greens for salad ;-)

#365 - Warning

Don't overload the system.
Don't do too much at once.
Or you will scare mojo into dark corners again.
Take it easy.
Enjoy the journey.

The sun's shining, so that helps.
Batteries are charged. I went for one photo and marked some photo
Ops for the coming days.
It's a start.
Again.

#365 - Mojo

I think I found you my friend. Where have you been hiding?
In a deep corner of my camera bag?
Afraid to come out and play?
Well, no more hiding, ok?

PS: The big Babe (aka my real camera will make an appearance from tomorrow on. The batteries needed charging :-) )

#Gardening - Testing my options

The really good thing about the place we rented: It has a sun room.
So, lacking a green house or hot bed, I'll see if I can get stuff to grow in here.

Some of the store bought plants are already   doing well, flowers as well as herbs.

Today I planted quite a few heritage seeds from 'The Seed guy'
- Sweet Spanish Onions x 4
(green Onions would have been better, but I Don't have any)
-Bloomsdale Spinach x 4
- Scarlet Nantes Carrot x 3
- Red Cored Chanteney Carrot x 3
- Ruby red swiss chard x 2
- Morris heading Collards x 3
- Snowball Cauliflower x 4
- Arugula x 4
- Siberian Kale x 2
- Bok Choy Cabbage x 3

Those are planted in an egg carton, egg shells on bottom for nutrition, watered and seeds set with a giant tooth pick thingy, protected with an old water bottle
for what will hopefully give me some hit house effect.

Heritage seeds Planted in clay pots:
- Italian giant parsley x 10
- Parris Island Romaine lettuce x 10
- Leisure Coriander x 5

The clay pots are by the way sponsored by 'Canadian gardens'!
They took petty on me and gave me a bunch of Clay and plastic pots they didn't need to more,
when I went shopping there a short while back - Thanks guys!

Watered and covered with recycled plastic bags.

Also planted:
2 x store bought organic garlic
6 x store bought lemon seeds

And also one of my store bought (non-organic) garlics has started sprouting last week
