#Handmade - Shawlette Wellenreiter

Stitch pattern from ’1500 patterns’ - I am sure there’s already a shawlette out there, designed like this.
I just had this in my head & it needed to come out :-)

Should I add some buttons? Should I write a pattern?

#Handmade - The Blue Hole Bandana

Finished a small shawl / Bandana yesterday.
Made of Bamboo yarn - love it :)

It will most likely go into the 'For Sale' stash though :-)

#Handmade, Winterfell pouch

Hauptmuster: versetzte Reliefstäbchen aus der Häkelbibel

From Handmade

Made this pouch so I can easily carry my passport and phone with me when walking the dogs, due to recent police checks. I will add a lining and zipper at a later time, I think.
Named ‘Winterfell Pouch’, because it was made while watching the first season of ‘Game of Thrones’ :-)

The first part of two pairs of Baby socks for a friends' wife, expecting Twins some time in August.
My first time knitting with Bamboo, loved it!

Pithy directions

36st cast on
18rows ribbing (2p/2r)
3rows stockinette
1row purl
1row 1yok2
1row purl
2rows stockinette
Now start Boomerang heel (JoJo heel) or your favorite heel (if you do so, ignore the next instruction and go on with the 'front part' instructions after finishing the heel)
After the first part of the heel is done, when you work the two rounds, knit the first row in Lace stitch pattern (1yoK2tog), 2nd row in stockinette.

Front part: 1 row Lace pattern (1yoK2tog fit them in between the spaces of your first row with the pattern), 2rows stockinette, 1 row Lace, 2 rows stockinette,...

For example: in the first Lace row, while knitting the heel) you went: K2 yok2tog k2 yok2tog (8stitches) K2 yok2tog k2 yok2tog (16 stitches altogether)
the second row you start: K1 yok2tog k2 yok2tog ,.... so they are placed in between the first yarn overs and a pattern appears.
Don't fret if it doesn't fit perfectly or if you maybe once have to add a stitch so the pattern fits. You won't see that in the end.

Altogether approx. 18rows

Your decrease starts at row 13, one stitch in every row

Twist a cord and fit it through your first row of yok2togs,
sow in the seams
Finished

Barefoot beach sandals / Barfuss Sandalen

Muster, gestrickte Barfuss Sandale

From Handmade
Does anyone know the name for these?
Edit: The names often seem to be used are: 'Sand' 'Beach' or 'Water' Sandals
Found the idea on flickr and only one pattern on ravelry. But that didn't fit the idea that was in my head.
I made up my own.

English pattern available here

From Handmade

Also selbst drauf los gestrickt.

Pattern, Book cover

From Selfmade

'Pithy' pattern idea - you will have to adjust the pattern to the size of your book and yarn you are using

- you start with one row of chain (stitches?), it should wrap 1cm around the top and bottom of the book cover

- 2 or 3 rows of single crochet (this will be at the inside of your book to 'hold' the cover in place - so make it as long as you need to), 1 row of slip stitch (that should be where the inside 'turns' to the outer side), 2 or 3 rows of single crochet

- double treble crochet to the end of the cover page (again, length depends on your book size)

- for the 'back' of the book you do again 2 or 3 rows of single crochet, one row of slip stitch for the break (if you wish, you don't really need to) and 2-3 more rows of single crochet

now you are at the back cover page

- double treble crochet to the end of the page (leave room for 2-3 rows of single crochet)

- 2-3 rows of single crochet, one row of slip stitch, now for the inside of the book 2-3 rows (or more if needed) of single crochet

- Now all the way around one row of single crochet and one row of slip stitch to make the crochet pattern a bit more even (in the photo I only have one row of slip stitch)
(the 'around' row is meant as some sort of a border to even out the uneven crochet bobbles that you will have.
Like, when you crochet a square, two sides will have uneven edges. Just crochet along those edges and you have a nicer 'border')

- sow the corners together

- crochet a row of slip stitches (like a loop), sow it to the back of the book cover and sow a button to the front

Please test in between, if you have the correct length and width!
