#Kuwait - Beach morning

Just the usual insanity

#Kuwait - Mangaf beach

A morning at the beach. It was almost clean for once. I was impressed.
Either the rant of the Lady on the Kuwait up to Date page resulted in some
action or the clean up effort was due to the weekend ahead. Who knows.
There were at least 8 trash bags (black ones, the city workers usually use yellow ones).
So, if anyone can enlighten this mystery for me, be my guest :-)

The 'whatever it will be' building in the back seems to be coming to an end of it's construction phase.
Still weird for me to see that there.

From Kuwait 2013 / 14

Lots of pebbles are back and hence the sea glass as well. Brought some home of course ;-)
Construction bricks are there too. I've seen those before way down to the right of the beach.
I guess the current goes from right to left, up towards the city. (If there is such a thing)
I always thought it would go the other way around?

#Engrish

I know, not entirely correct Engrish but I can't help it - to me this is hilarious!

#365 - My beautiful 'hood

I try to ignore it most of the time.

About this spot, I can write a photo story....maybe I will one of these days.

From 365 - 2014

And this one is the dumping ground for trash left in appartments when people leave or get new furniture.
Once a month it gets cleaned up.
Newest thing is to dump food Leftovers all over the place. Great!

#365 - Cloudy sunrise

The sun was peeking through the clouds in a deep orange / red.
Taken a photo with the phone cam, but alas, that didn't work out too well...

#365 - fog

This weather is weird.
It's one moment cold, then it gets warm, in the afternoon yo freeze your butt off
then it gets warm again. And I don't know, but to me, it's the coldest winter,
I've experienced in Kuwait so far.
Not really complaining, I am dreading the coming summer :-/

#365 - Early morning

An icy cold, but glorious morning.
Yes. Cold!
Approx. 3C, felt like close to Zero.

#365 - A new year, a new challenge

I know, I try this every year.
But I have to get my photo mojo back & this might actually work - who knows.

Anybody in for the challenge?
(Taking a photo with a 'real' camera every day. Showing whatever  I love to do these (looking back and see what happened / what I did), but never finish the year. And I need to get my photo mojo back )

#Kuwait - Rock no more

The rocks are now piled up besides the sand
From Kuwait 2013

I am not entirely sure, what those people are doing down at the beach this time. Since yesterday they are carting sand and rocks from left to right. As far as I can tell from here, there are no more rocks left on the (my) left side of the beach.
Update Nov 23rd: The tide has taken the rocks back into the ocean and you can only see them at very low tide. Still need to go down and take photos.

Not sure, if they want to make this a sweet nice sandy beach for the new resort that they are building at the 'Amir's place' (or whatever the heck that will be, when finished).

There was already no more sea glass after they removed the pier and all the other things which blocked the original tide line.

Due to the rocks missing, I didn't sea any sea urchins this year.

And if they remove all the rocks, all the snails (or whatever their correct name is) will be gone too.
With it, the few birdy migrants that still come here will have nothing to snack on, but the trash that floats in or that people leave behind. And there's enough of that.

#365 - It rains in Southern Kuwait

From 365 - 2013

;-)
It rained Monday night / morning.
When I took the dogs, I got the last bit of it, about 20 drops ;-)
It's been a gorgeous, sunny, fresh day yesterday and today it's cloudy again, but without the mugginess.
Love it, it can stay that way!

#Kuwait / Cloudy with a chance of meatballs

From 365 - 2013
Weather yesterday: Cloudy with a chance of meatballs dust.
It was humid, in the morning it smelled like rain, but soon enough I realized, it's humidity.

From 365 - 2013
Later mixed with dust. Yummy!

From 365 - 2013

Today it's gorgeous though. Nice and cool and clear :-)

And here's a view to our collective trash pile. Growing since two weeks, yumyum! And the water that's growing all kinds of new Life, science at my doorstep...

#Kuwait - Beauty on my morning walk

A beautiful sight, every morning.
The 'yellow men' have tried to clean up around here, but my neighbours don't seem to give a shit.
