#Handmade - Iced Jacket

From Handmade
Notes
Using the yarn from my frogged oversized Cardigan (read - I made it about 10” too big ;-))
Frogging while knitting since it takes forever :-)
Started this morning and it knits fast so far.
This is my first try for a Raglan and also my first for a Top-down Cardi.
One day later and I’m 3/4 finished with the body.
I love fast knits :-)
OK, finished - next time I will pick up ALL stitches along the border, not 3 out of 4 as the pattern suggests. It looks ok, when worn correctly, I just wanted to show that it IS a tad short…..
I would also decrease at least two more stitches for the arms to make them a tad tighter at the bottom.
Anyway, I love the pattern and the fit!
Make sure you go by the pattern suggestion and choose the bigger size!
And keep measuring while you knit.

#Handmade - Coachella Top

Free pattern on Ravelry

Looks much better on me than on No-Boob Emma ;-)

CO 202st with 2.5mm needles….what a pain….!
:-)
I hope I don’t have a twist,…
Didn’t have a twist, but managed to get one in after the arms when joining everything.
I caught it in the third row, never knit stuff like this when tired.
I left it though and just knit straight over.
There’s a little bump, but I can live with that ;-)
That’s just me :P

I did up the number of st to 220, I hope it all works out. Trying it on with the cable needles is for some reason a pain itb this time.
At the next shaping part I reduced the st to 210.
And following the pattern from there.
I should have added another Inch, going on 23” instead 22” before knitting the last 6 rows.
The strap in the back could have been a bit longer too.
That’s what you get when you don’t do a gauge and just go ‘pi thumb’ ;-)
Funny, this yarn knits much more even in stockinette when knitting through the back loop.

Looks much better in real Life than here :) Odd angle, sigh!

#Handmade - Ringelpulli

RingelRingelReihe,...

Bin ich froh, dass Du fertig bist ;-)
Fertig war er an sich schon lange, nur war ich mir nicht sicher, ob Arme oder nicht.
Ohne Arme keine Kekse, imho, nun mit Armen ;-)

I had it finished since a while, but was not sure if I should add arms or not.
I did and am fairly happy with the result :-)

#Handmade - Merewether Top Test Knit

From Handmade

The pattern can be found here
Notes

Love it!

One Tip:

Don’t miss the Info about the waist shaping!
As soon as you start the POD pattern you have to work also with the waist shaping!
After finishing, I crocheted around the edges of the armholes and neckline to get a more even feel to it.
______________________

I’ve made a big mistake due to not reading the pattern. I almost reached the bust when I realized that the waist pattern already starts after the ribbing.
I countered the mistake by decreasing 2 Pods (over 1 Pod pattern repeat) after 4 Pod pattern repeats counting after the ribbing.
Knitted 2 Pod pattern repeats, then increased the two again to get the correct bust measurements (again over 1 Pod repeat).
2 more repeats for the bust.
That makes it 9 Pod pattern repeats until the armholes.
3 more after you separate the pieces.
Crochet around the edges of the armholes and the bust /arms to get it nice and even.

Tip:
  • Read the whole pattern before you start!
  • When you do the increases in the pattern make sure the little bump is on the wrong side of your knitting.
