Using the yarn from my frogged oversized Cardigan (read - I made it about 10” too big ;-))

Frogging while knitting since it takes forever :-)

Started this morning and it knits fast so far.

This is my first try for a Raglan and also my first for a Top-down Cardi.

One day later and I’m 3/4 finished with the body.
I love fast knits :-)

OK, finished - next time I will pick up ALL stitches along the border, not 3 out of 4 as the pattern suggests. It looks ok, when worn correctly, I just wanted to show that it IS a tad short…..

I would also decrease at least two more stitches for the arms to make them a tad tighter at the bottom.

Anyway, I love the pattern and the fit!
Make sure you go by the pattern suggestion and choose the bigger size!
And keep measuring while you knit.

I hope I don’t have a twist,…

Didn’t have a twist, but managed to get one in after the arms when joining everything.
I caught it in the third row, never knit stuff like this when tired.
I left it though and just knit straight over.
There’s a little bump, but I can live with that ;-)
That’s just me :P

I did up the number of st to 220, I hope it all works out. Trying it on with the cable needles is for some reason a pain itb this time.

At the next shaping part I reduced the st to 210.

And following the pattern from there.
I should have added another Inch, going on 23” instead 22” before knitting the last 6 rows.

The strap in the back could have been a bit longer too.

That’s what you get when you don’t do a gauge and just go ‘pi thumb’ ;-)

Funny, this yarn knits much more even in stockinette when knitting through the back loop.

Finished some quick Yoga socks, each one took about max. 3hrs.
Now, only Yoga is missing ;-)
I don't know why I absolutely wanted socks like this.
They were itching me to make them since a while
 and yesterday I decided to use the thick Leftover yarn for it.
Not perfect, but comfy

Free pattern in Swedisch / Kostenloses Muster auf Schwedisch.
But what you need is mainly the Diagram to sew it together, no mystery here / Alles was man wirklich braucht, ist das Diagram zum zusammennaehen. Wirklich keine Kunst :-)

This pair's for hubby. One turned out a wee bit smaller, ran out of yarn :-/
15stitches to 9cm x 9cm (2x acrylic and 1x sock yarn)
Das Paar ist fuer Menne, der eine Schuh ist etwas kleiner, hatte kein Acrylgarn mehr :-/

#Handmade - Schluffen aka comfy House shoes

I needed something to wear besides / over my socks. The floor is cold and the socks only start feeling wet after a while, so wearing these on top = comfy feet :-)

I made them a bit too big at the toes, haven't done them in a while :-)

I've used sock yarn and acrylic. Acrylic alone would result into holes at the heels and bottom really fast.
In a mix it usually is more durable. We shall see :-)

#Handmade - Summer Jam T-Shirt

Notes

I am knitting this one in the round.
Cast on 240 stitches, knit one row rib pattern (k3, p3)
Close the round (you sow that one row together later with the end thread at the bottom/beginning),
keep up rib pattern.
07th of May
After approx. 10cm of Rib I started plain knitting.
Every 5th row add a st at the front sides, every 10th row add one stitch on each side back and front.
20th of May
I think the switch to bigger needles resulted in an uneven Stockinette stitch. Bummer.
I leave it the way it is and hope it sorts itself out a bit after the first wash.
22nd of May
Going to separate the front and the back today, trying to make a boot neck on the front side and adding short sleeves later.
July 5th - Finished
It does need some fixing though. Have to make the neck line tighter, will do so via crochet (or try at least), we shall see :-)
Thanks to Emma, my patient model, that might go easier than I think :)
July 7th
Crocheted around the sleeve edges and the neckline.
It’s tighter now and fits nicely :)

Stricke auf Rundstricknadeln, Anschlag von 240m, 1R Rippenmuster (3r, 3l), zur Runde schließen (das verringert die Gefahr von einem Dreher, die eine Reihe vernäht man später mit dem Abschlussfaden), weiter im Rippenmuster.
07. Mai
Nach ca. 10cm Rippenmuster hab ich mit glatt rechts angefangen.
Alle 5 Reihen vorne an den Seiten je 1M zunehmen, jede 10.R Vorder und Rückseite je Seite 1M zun.
20. Mai
Ich glaube, der Wechsel auf größere Nadeln resultiert in einem unschönen Strickbild.
Ich belasse es bei den Nadeln und hoffe, dass es sich nach dem ersten waschen aushängt.
22. Mai
Trenne gleich Vorder- und Rueckenteil.
Beim Vorderteil versuche ich einen graden Ausschnitt zu machen.
Und statt Toptraegern gibt’s kurze Aermel.
5. Juni - Fertig
Allerdings muss ich den Nacken und Ausschnitt verengen, werde ich mittels haekeln versuchen.
Danke Emma, meinem geduldigen Modell sollte das einfacher sein, als ich grade denke :-)

Aermel und Ausschnitt umhaekelt. Ist jetzt enger und passt :-)

#Handmade - Fitted Tank Top

First off: I love the yarn and the feel of it.
I love the Tank Top too.
It just doesn’t fit me.
I’ll just have to make another one in the biggest option available and longer, since the Acrylic yarn doesn’t hang itself out ( Not sure what the correct term in English is).

I will def. give this a second try and hopefully can give this Top a new home with one of my (skinnier) friends :-)

I find the pattern description a bit confusing at some parts, but that is probably just me.
I personally also don’t like the decrease at the armpits. I tried various decrease methods to avoid the little ‘triangles’ sticking out.

Checking out the finished projects, I am starting to think, that ribbed patterns are maybe not going well for people with bigger Boobs.
Dangit, I love this Top!

Warum Acryl: Dies ist ein Übungsstück :-)

Nach M1 auf NS 4.5 und eine längere Schnur gewechselt, über die nächsten Wiederholungen von M2 insgesamt 60m hinzugefügt.

Die ersten Fotos sind nur Dokumentation meiner Dummheit. Hatte einen Dreher im Gestricksel und hab’s via eine art steeking (keine Ahung, wie das auf deutsch heisst) repariert.

Bei M2 bei jeder wiederholung einen Markierer gesetzt, damit ich nicht ständig zählen muss, ob alles richtig ist.
Rücken und 2 Vorderteile auf selber Nadel gelassen und mit 3 Fäden gestrickt (das mit dem zählen klappt bei mir nie)

Zusammengestrickt habe ich die Schultern mit einer dritten Nadel und dann direkt 2 Maschen per Überzug abgekettet (auf der linken Seite des strickstücks). Es ist bei den ersten Maschen etwas umständlich, lohnt sich aber!

Das Teil ist Klasse und wird be stimmt nochmal gestrickt, diesmal vielleicht ohne Fehler!

Why Acrylic: This us just a trial and error subject for me to get the feel for making garments :-)

Switched to NS 4.5 and a longer cable after M1, added over the next 3 M2 repeats 60st (beginning with 200).

The First photos are just a documentation of my own stupidity. I had a twist in my stitches, but didn’t realize it. I fixed it via some sort if steeking.

Set stitch marker at M2 for every pattern repeat, so I don’t have to count every time if I haven’t screwed up.
Knitting back and two front pieces on the same needle with 3 threads, since I can never keep up even row count otherwise.

I’ve knitted the piece together at the shoulders, using a third needle and cast off via slip stitch right along (doing this on the wrong side of the garment)
it’s a pain for the first few stitches, but gets easier then.

I love the piece and will do it again, that time maybe without mistakes ;-)
