Workshop, week 1, day 1

So,....
about two weeks ago I signed up on an offer for a free Mentorship program.
I didn't have much hope to get chosen, but...
I did =)

Now, what did I get myself into?
Good question.
8 weeks of working my camera and learning to see things anew and other pretty cool things, I'm sure.

Every week will be loaded with a bunch of photos from which I have to chose my Best ones.

This week we will be shooting in auto mode, try different angles, stop, breathe, look again and shoot different.

I tried it today. Trying to see the same neighbourhood with new eyes will be a tad tough (you know me, I tend to go out and shoot anything as soon as I get somewhere).
But I did find a few things today.

The weather doesn't help either. It's either hazy or dusty. YumYum!

I'll be trying to shoot all photos this week with the 50mm, we will see how that goes =)

Here are my favorite results from day 1.
Except for two photos, it was indeed shot nr 3 or 4 that made it :)
Altogether I took 31 photos.

BTw. if you still have no clue what I am doing right now, you can hop on over to Shannon's Blog.
She has a much more eloquent way to explain things ;)
And she has wonderful photographs to show as well!
